This is what happens when the press fails to do its job. We end up with a President with a fake backstory that he created to make himself a legend in his own mind.
Why do we have a press with all of the protections that they demand, if they can’t do simple research on an individual who is running for the most powerful position in the world? Perhaps, it’s time to reevaluate the press’ unlimited freedoms?
In a newly released biography, Barack Obama The Story, author David Maraniss reveals that most of the key points that Obama cites as changing the direction of his life are in fact fictional. In Dreams From My Father, the President uses composite characters to illustrate these key moments in his life.
It’s as if he’s saying, “This is how it would have happened in order to make me who I am.” But it didn’t happen in the way he relates it. The characters that he has peopled his book and therefore his life with are in fact fictions of his mind. No such people ever existed. Obama claims that they were composites but how could we know that. They simply don’t exist as real honest-to-goodness people.
In essence, the President created a myth about himself, sold it to the media who in turn sold it to the American voters. How else could a person with little experience become the President of the United States? Barack Obama was marketed by very good marketers as the Second Coming . He was portrayed as the Messiah of Hope and Change.
Instead, we got a slick speaker who had no idea how the American economy works and more importantly, couldn’t care less. With a sheaf of far-left “wants”, he co-opted the assistance of his Kool-Aid drinkers into nearly bankrupting America in order to remake it into his own distorted image.
Against all logic, he sold enough of his fellow Democrats on the idea that 33 million more people could receive healthcare for a lower cost. Think about that for just a moment. Just as he created a fictional backstory for himself, he created a fictional backstory for healthcare. We now have the threat of large numbers of doctors leaving the medical profession in protest.
He created the stimulus bill in order to resurrect the American economy with government jobs. Declaring that government will lead the way to
prosperity, Obama set out to do something that has never been successfully done in modern history. But since everything in his past was fictional, why would we expect him to be cognizant of reality?
Obama hasn’t stopped using fictional characters and strawmen in his current speeches. He has put forward the image of a Mitt Romney that bears no relation to reality. Using his willing accomplices in the American media,
Obama would have us believe that Mitt and Anne Romney are heartless plutocrats who are only in it for the money. According to Obama’s fictional view of history, the Republicans will immediately roll back America’s progress to the ’50s, the 1850s.
It’s time for American voters to did through Obama’s self-created legend and see him for who he is, a fictional character of an unremarkable politician. He speaks well, but actions speak louder that words. The ’legend in his own mind’ politician has been unmasked at last!
