The Democrat campaign plan can be summed up in three words: deceive, deflect and divide. Nothing else can describe their attempt to lie and obfuscate to another term in the White House. These tactics are right out of the community organizer’s playbook.
The most recent attempt to deceive the voters is the on-going campaign to get Mitt Romney to release 12 years of tax returns. Let’s face it. We all know that Governor Romney is a rich man and so is President Obama. Romney invested wisely and used professionals to prepare his tax returns. Does anyone think that Warren Buffet and others of his financial stature prepare their own returns?
Meanwhile, we have well-known land speculator, Senator Harry Reid, accusing Governor Romney of paying no taxes for ten years. “As I said before, I was told by an extremely credible source that Romney has not paid taxes for ten years. People who make as much money as Mitt Romney have many tricks at their disposal to avoid paying taxes. We already know that Romney has exploited many of these loopholes, stashing his money in secret, overseas accounts in places like Switzerland and the Cayman Islands.” Of course, Reid refuses to release his tax returns.
His counterpart in the House, Nancy Pelosi, swears that Reid is correct. Listen to this logic. “Harry Reid made a statement that is true. Somebody told him. It is a fact,” Pelosi told The Huffington Post in a Sunday interview. “Whether he did or not can easily be disposed of: Mitt Romney can release his tax returns and show whether he paid taxes.”
The Democrats attempt at deceiving the voters about Romney’s tax returns is as transparent as glass. They only want thousands of pages to comb through and try to besmirch an honest man. The public is not deceived by this new McCarthyism.
Liberals have a unique talent and ability to deflect questions about the real issues to peripheral issues. Did you ever notice how they won’t answer 
a question straight-on but turn it to their seeming advantage.
We all know that the economy is the leading concern of the American people. In a recent Gallup Poll on national issues facing the country, voters prioritized their concerns that were extremely/very important in the following order:
- Creating Good Jobs……………………………………….92%
- Reducing corruption in the federal government…87%
- Reducing the federal budget deficit………………….86%
These were the top three national issues of concern. Where is raising taxes on the “rich”? Well, it’s at 49%. How about Governor Romney’s tax returns? Nary a whisper.
Barack Obama is trying very hard to deflect the attention of the American voters from those top three issues: the economy, jobs and the deficit. If he doesn’t and voters zero in on his failures, he’ll lose in a landslide. It’s simple for him. Just don’t talk about the important stuff and deflect the voters with catchy slogans and half-truths.
Finally, we have the third leg in the Democrat campaign plan: divide the country and conquer. What we’re seeing so far is a full-blown campaign of class warfare. The Democrats have divided the electorate into demographic, ethnic and special interest groups.
As the incumbent president, Barack Obama has gone as far as issuing questionable executive orders, such as the “Dream” Act that allows a certain class of illegal immigrants to remain in this country for two years. This was for the Hispanic-American community. He also instructed the Department of Justice to sue a number of states that have recently passed new voter ID laws.
The environmentalists got the Keystone XL pipeline’s non-approval served up to them on a platter. So what that the American people will suffer with higher gas prices. They should have bought a car with a windmill on the roof.
The seniors got a $250 check from the stimulus to compensate them for not receiving a cost of living adjustment even though there was no inflation. The unions got two big juicy gifts in the form of General Motors and Chrysler stock while the small bondholders, many who were former employees, ended with an empty bag.
The Obama contributors received billions in government subsidies and loans for the green energy fantasies. Recent emails reveal that Solyndra’s business plan actually called for government aid, calling the Department of Energy, the ‘Bank of Washington’.
Welfare recipients received a huge gift when the administration rewrote the work requirements to eliminate them. That requirement states that welfare recipients must be employed or prove they’re looking for work as a condition for receiving aid. Welfare to work is now just welfare.
You see how this works. If you’re an Obama supporter you’ll get all sorts of government gifts. Tough luck if you’re not, they’ll just audit you.
