This video has a startling message for all Americans. As you view it, the message becomes clearer and more pointed. Is this Barack Obama’s plan for America? Does he want the current version of America to fail in order to invent a new version of America?
Think about the message and its ramifications. Barack Obama and his allies in the extreme environmental movement have relentlessly campaigned against the use of our abundant fossil fuel resources in the name of climate change.
This country is the ‘Saudi Arabia’of coal. We have proven and potential reserves of crude oil, oil shale and natural gas that dwarfs the reserves found in the Middle East. Yet, Obama and his allies have demonized the use of these resources by Americans.
This administration has used their regulatory power to confuse, obstruct and justify the banning of the use of coal to heat and light our homes and industries. The Environmental Protection Agency has become a political weapon against American prosperity.
America was once a prosperous country with minimal unemployment and abundant job opportunities for all of its citizens. Today, we’re a shadow of our former self. Unemployment and underemployment for young people, including recent college graduates, may be as high as 50%.
Once, we used to make things in this country. In fact, we used our technological advantage to lead the world in the manufacturing of high-tech items. Today, our once proud manufacturing sector is a shambles.
The left says, “Bush and the Republicans did it,” but I beg to differ. Extreme regulations in the areas of labor and the environment have forced American companies to ship jobs overseas. Who’s responsible? Well, we could start with the extremists on the left who are demonizing everything that was once great about America.
Why would you want to work in the manufacturing sector when you could go to college and be a white collar worker? Why dirty your hands when you could work in the sector? Except, today that means flipping burgers, serving lattes or working at Wal Mart. All of the jobs that made American industry the envy of the world have gone to the other parts of the world.
American industry created the American middle class. There was no need for redistributing wealth. To paraphrase the words of the late John Houseman in a commercial, ‘Americans made money the old-fashioned way, we earned it.’
Today, the Obama administration touts the success of their effort to save the auto industry. Except, the permanent loss of high-paying jobs in the auto industry has become a permanent drag on our economy. Job losses at General Motors, Chrysler and Ford are staggering, 1 in 2 auto workers were cut in just over five years.
So where does all of this leave America? We have an administration that has increased the National Debt by over $5 trillion in 3 1/2 years with annual deficits of between $1 to 1.5 trillion. We have a Congress that is at loggerheads over any plan to rein in the wild spending.
We have a President who is a classic tax-and-0spend liberal who never met a tax or fee that he didn’t like. With the coming avalanche of taxes in 2013, he will most likely bankrupt America because he does not understand how this country works.
We have an out of control regulatory regime, led by the EPA, that seems intent on suppressing any and all innovation with suffocating rules and regulations. They give no meaning to red tape.
We have an administration that at the merest suggestion proposes new environment rules and taxes for the energy industry. Every time there’s a need for some additional monies, the Democrats propose the removal of so-called tax-breaks for the American energy industry. With the highest business tax rate in the world, is it any wonder industries are leaving our shore?
Is this Barack Obama’s Plan for America? Does he hope to have America prostrate and defenseless so that he and only he can rescue this Country?
